Joining

Former Companion & Terry Waite.
How to join the Community
If you wish to join us ring the Co-ordinator and her team on 01304 204550 or call in during office hours. You will be invited to look around and interviewed to see if we can help you.
Although it is not essential, it may help if you agree for the staff to make contact with any day centre or hostel where you have been.
It is vital you understand that on becoming a Companion you will have to abide by the house rules and be fit enough to work in the Community.
Allowances
Each week Companions receive an allowance of £32 plus £5 which is banked so that you have some money if you choose to leave. Companions do not receive state benefits, apart from Housing Benefit which is paid direct to the Community.
Holidays
After 13 weeks in the Community you would get a long weekend break and after a further 13 weeks you would get a weeks' holiday. For both you would get extra allowances.
